Dream, Wish, Believe

Hello, all my creative peeps!  Welcome back to my blog today as I share a sweet card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I recently picked up some beautiful "specialty" papers at Michael's.  It's hard to see it in the photos, but this music paper is actually glittered.  It looks so much prettier in real life, but I couldn't quite capture it with my camera.
Because the paper is so pretty, I didn't want to overwhelm it.  I added two felt hearts that I layered using a stitched die-cut.  On top of that, I added a big bow that I created with lots of great products from Really Reasonable Ribbon including bow made with a length of Ivory Seam Binding, Black Seam Binding, Black Burlap String, and 3/8" Black Gingham Ribbon.  Then, I added some of Really Reasonable Ribbon's fabulous Mulberry Flowers including two Black Open Roses, a Deep Ivory Open Rose, and a 30 mm Green Mulberry Leaf.  They look so pretty, and are always the perfect touch to any project.
I hand cut a little banner from ivory card stock that I stamped in Black Soot Tim Holtz Distress Ink.   I added a couple of sequins here and there, but really kept the ribbons and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon as the star of this card.
Finally!  This last close-up shot gives you a better look at the glittered texture of this "specialty" paper.  It's real thick, too.  The black and ivory ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon compliment it SO nicely.  I can always find the perfect ribbons, trims, twines, flowers, leaves and more to embellish ALL my projects at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I encourage you to follow the links and stock up on some of your favorites.  And don't forget about the FUN CHALLENGE taking place now on the RRR Blog.

I'm sharing my card in these challenges:

Thy Word

It's time once again for a SUPER FUN challenge at Word Art Wednesday; and we're sponsored this time by the amazing Simon Says Stamp so it's a great week to play along.  I know that if it wasn't a conflict of interest, I sure would want to enter these awesome challenges.  I feel like Word Art Wednesday has the BEST sponsors of any challenge blog out there.  We've just been SO blessed, and we already have an awesome calendar of sponsors lined up again for 2017 (including several international sponsors for our participants in the UK and other countries).  I really hope that you will ALL stop by to play along.  I just LOVE seeing all the amazing art you share with us.
I made this card using some gorgeous gold specialty papers from Michael's that I picked up on a sale recently.  I layered the glittery gold with the gold vellum and embossed dictionary paper, and then added some gold glittered feathers, a vintage gold button, and gold metallic baker's twine.  I printed the word art/scripture file onto white card stock and embossed the image, and used a Spellbinders die-cut to frame it.  Finally, I went over the edges with gold Stickles.
I just love all that gold, glitter and glam, and seeing the scripture as the focal point.  It's always so much fun to create my cards for Word Art Wednesday.  You are most welcome to save the free digital word art, but you're never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.  We just want you to link up your art so that we can see what you're creating.

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out the challenge taking place now on the Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog.  Have a blessed week, and please stop back by my blog again soon.  I appreciate your sweet comments.

I'm playing along here:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge Blog - Simon Says "Anything Goes"

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge Blog - Simon Says "Powder Power" - I love embossing.  I'm not real good at it, but I do love how it looks.

Trick Or Treat

Hello, everyone!  I'm so glad you've stopped by my blog today.  This is a busy time of year for us all, and as Christmas begins to draw near, we will all get even busier and busier.  We don't find the time we wish we had to craft and create, but when we do; it's always a fun time.  I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but I do like the "cute" stuff, and the no-so-spooky side.  As I've explained in years passed, I enjoy using this time as an opportunity to spread the love of Jesus Christ with all the little ones who stop by our house on Halloween in their costumes.  Each year, I make up 100 little bags with some candies, a little toy, and a Halloween Gospel tract.  It's our opportunity to share God's love with these kids as well as their families as they go through their candy when they get home.
I made this little Halloween tag using a Grungy Prim Stained Tag that I covered with a couple different October Afternoon patterned papers, added some orange pom pom trim, some JilliBean Soup ephemera, Melissa Frances rub-ons, Green Apple Baker's Twine, Orange Seam Binding, and the sweet little image is from Iralamija Etsy Shop from her Pumpkin Collage Sheet.
These are the challenges where I'm going to be sharing this little Halloween tag:

ChouxChoux Paper Art - Lori Hairston's Blog - 2016 Halloween Challenge - Lori also has several sweet free printables available on her blog for you all.  Thanks for all the fun, Lori!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog - Simon Says "Gift It" - This little tag is for my niece.  I'll be sending out lots of sweet little treats for all my nieces and nephews for Halloween.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.  And thanks so much for stopping by today.

Spooky Fun With Really Reasonable Ribbon

Welcome to my blog today as I share a cute little Halloween project I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This month's Ribbon Club Assortment is filled with "not so spooky" black, orange, green and purple FUN in this festive collection.  The Really Reasonable Ribbon monthly Ribbon Club is a great way to ensure you'll always have the perfect ribbons for every season and every occasion.  I sure enjoy them.
I made this cute little treat for my niece, Alexa.  It's a simple little short mason jar that I filled with big black, orange and green gumballs.  I painted and glittered the ring of the jar to give it some personality, and then I wrapped a long length of Orange Seam Binding around it and tied it into a bow.  I also cut a circle from orange/black striped material and placed it over a piece of cardboard on the inside of the jar rim to decorate the top.
Next, I added a Spellbinders spider's web die-cut, and bows made from several of this month's Ribbon Club Assortment including  a length of the 5/8" Shimmer Satin Tangerine With Gold3/8" Spider Web Print on Black Silk Ribbon3/8" Wonky Orange and Black Squares on White Satin Ribbon, and I also added a couple of RRR trims that aren't from this month Ribbon Club Assortment.  Those trims include some 1.5" Gray Netting, and some Solid Green Baker's Twine.
Oh.....and let's not forget that cute little Jolee's spider I placed on top of the bow.  I've had a package of these spiders for years, and Halloween is the only time I ever use them.  They're very old, but still cute and useful.  I just LOVE how all of Really Reasonable Ribbon's ribbons and products work together so well and compliment one another so nicely.  You simply can't go wrong by purchasing some ribbons and goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to do some shopping, to get some great inspiration from our daily blog posts, and of course to play along in our fun challenges.

I'm sharing my "Not So Spooky" creation in the following:

Choux Choux Paper Arts - Lori Hairston's Halloween/Autumn Challenge - I was SO excited when I got an email telling me that Lori was hosting another FUN challenge!

Simon Says Stamp- Wednesday Challenge: Gift It - As explained above, this little Halloween treat is a gift for my niece, Alexa.

Have a blessed day!

Favorite Song

Being such a big lover of music, it's super hard for me to nail down my one "favorite song" because I love so many songs and so many types of music.  However, for the challenge at As You Like It, I've chosen to enter the song "Hello" by Lionel Richie.  The reason why I chose this particular song is because my oldest daughter used to sing this song when she was little.
I used Crate Paper patterned papers and chipboard sentiment (Hello) to create this card as well as a JilliBean Soup ephemera tag and some baker's twine.  I kept it very simple (at least for me) because I also want to share it in the CAS challenge at SSS.
Here are the different challenges where I'm sharing this card:

As You Like It Challenge Blog - Favorite Song: "Hello" by Lionel Richie, and as I explained it's a favorite because my daughter would sing it to me when she was little, and she also loved the music video that went along with the song.  Lionel Richie's music was her favorite from the time she was very little, as she has loved it her whole life.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - CAS - For me, this is a very simple card.

Have a blessed week, and thanks so much for stopping by.

Things With Wings Challenge at RRR

It's time for a FUN new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and this time our challenge theme is Things With Wings.  You can use an airplane, a bird, or any other winged creature or object you can imagine.  And you're welcome to share ANY type of art; whether it's a card, a scrapbook page, mixed media, home decor, etc.  You name it, and you're more than welcome to enter it into our challenge as long as it follows the challenge theme and meets one simple criteria.....it must include ribbon or some type of spooled trim.
I created two very simple cards using some October Afternoon Farmhouse products.  My first card includes these OA patterned papers that I inked on the edges with Hickory Smoke Tim Holtz Distress Ink, ephemera (circles, roundish shapes, and butterflies that I outlined with gold Stickles), and an OA button.  I also included some vintage tickets, and I wrapped my card with a nice long length of Gray Baker's Twine (currently out of stock), and I also tied it though the center of my button and tied a bow with it.  Using Baker's Twine is a great way to add a small touch of ribbon/trim without overwhelming your design.
It adds just that right touch of texture and embellishment to your card.  And here's even better news.....Baker's Twine is SUPER affordable at just $1.00 per 10-yard cut.  Yup, that's right!  Just $0.10 per yard, and Really Reasonable Ribbon carries 38 gorgeous varieties of Baker's Twine so you're sure to find all the perfect shades for every project.  And you can get them ALL without spending a small fortune.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has LOTS of great ribbons and trims at fabulously low prices to adorn all your creations.
My second card uses all the same products (October Afternoon Farmhouse) including the patterned papers, stickers, ephemera circles, sentiment sticker (with a Melissa Frances CONGRATS rub-on), bird sticker, and to finish the card, I added a Jenni Bowlin True Vintage milk cap, and an OA brown button that I tied with Brown Sugar Baker's Twine.  I also tied the Brown Sugar Baker's Twine around my card twice, and tied it into a knot to create two bows underneath the button.  You can see, once again, how this one simple trim adds so much texture and life to my simple card.
Don't forget to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to play along in this FUN new challenge, and each day for lots of great inspiration.  We love to inspire you with OUR creations, and we love to see YOUR sweet creations linked to our challenges.  Really Reasonable Ribbon wants to be YOUR first source for ribbons, trims, twines, mulberry flowers, and so much more.

Thanks for stopping by!

September RRR Blog Hop Time

Hi there, everybody!  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today as I take part in the September Blog Hop for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You should have arrived here from Bonnie's sweet Blog; but if you didn't, you can get started on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  This month's Ribbon Club Assortment has a Halloween vibe to it, so I created some fun candy cups with them in addition to the usual hair bow I share.  Here's a peek at this month's "Too Cute To Spook" collection:
These sweet little cups are from Michael's Crafts.  I added a half of a black paper straw to the back of each by hot-gluing them to the inside, and I placed a spider at the top of one straw, and a black cat on the other.  Next, I took a length of the 5/8" Shimmer Satin Tangerine With Gold to create a "strap" on each candy cup.  I filled the cups with big colorful, yummy green, black and orange gumballs.  Then, to decorate the cups, I created a big bow on each one.
The cat cup has a length of the 5/8" Apple Green Plaid Ribbon, and 3/8" Too Cute To Spook Print on Black Grosgrain as well as a length of Orange Baker's Twine as well as Black Seam Binding tied into a bow (mixed and layered in there somewhere).
And as I do each month, I'm also sharing a cute set of hair bows that includes almost all the ribbons from this month's Ribbon Club Assortment including the 3/8" Diamond Satin Grape,  3/8" Halloween Confetti Dots on Black Grosgrain Ribbon, 5/8" Plaid Apple Green, 3/8" Spider Web Print on Black Silk Ribbon, 3/8" Wonky Orange and Black Squares on White Satin Ribbon, 5/8" Gauze Print on Grape Satin Ribbon,   5/8" Apple Green Taffeta Ribbon, and the sweet 3/8" Too Cute To Spook Print on Black Grosgrain Ribbon.  Each bow has a French Clip on the back to easily place them in the hair.  These fantastic Hair Clips comes in several different styles and sizes to accommodate any length of hair.  You can see once again how ALL of Really Reasonable Ribbon's trims work together to compliment one another so beautifully.  Joining this club also helps assure that you will always have the right ribbons for every season and holiday.  They're simply awesome!
Your next stop on this fun Blog Hop is at the blog of my talented friend, Kathy.  She will have something super fun for you all, and I know you'll enjoy it.  Thanks for joining us, and be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to participate in our CURRENT CHALLENGE.  Good luck, and happy hopping!

Have a great week!

Congrats!

I'm sure you can all relate to having those moments when you find yourself in need of a particular card that you don't have on hand.  I found out yesterday that I needed a congratulations card.  I didn't have one that would work for the occasion, so I pulled out my Crate Paper (which seems to be my go-to line) and created this sweet and simple little card to congratulate a friend who just got a big promotion at work.
I used Crate Paper patterned papers, ephemera, and stickers.  I used a Melissa Frances rub-on for the sentiment, some of my coveted vintage scotch tape, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, and a few sequins.  I love all the layers, and always enjoy how these Crate Paper ephemera pieces work together.  I can't believe that I've made two cards now (one yesterday and this one today) that have absolutely no lace, ribbon or trim whatsoever.  It's unusual for me, but I like trying different styles now and then.
I'll be linking this card to these fun challenges:

Sweet Memories

When I made this card, I immediately knew it was going to my niece, AudraAnna.  She is such a little princess, and she reminds me SO much of her Mama, my sweet sister Audra who away almost two years ago now from brain cancer.  Seeing Anna always makes me think of Audra, and that's always a good thing. She looks so much like her, except she has darker hair because daddy is Hispanic.  I always say she's the caliente (spicy) version of her Mama.  She sure does make me smile.  She and I talk about memories A LOT because she loves hearing stories about her Mama, and I like telling them.  So this sentiment of "Memories" is just perfect for her.
I used some Crate Paper products (patterned papers, stickers, wooden bow, ephemera bow), Gold Stickles, a Making Memories rub-on sentiment, machine stitching, inking, some teal baker's twine, and a pearl accent sticker.

I was inspired completely by the sketch for this week's challenge at Sketch Saturday when creating my card.  I like the crooked stripe, and how it breaks up the card a bit.  I think I will enter this challenge again and do the diagonal stripe differently just to push myself creatively a bit.  I need to "think outside the box" more, and that will help me.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and please visit me again soon.

Blessings to you,
Karen

Yo and Hello

I had a lot of fun making this card.  The lighting was, admittedly, not the greatest because I wasn't able to take my photographs of the card until late this evening when it had already started to get dark outside.  They do look a little bit "yellowed", but you can still get the general idea.  I created this card specially for a few specific challenges I had in mind, and I had a lot of fun incorporating the elements of each challenge into this one sweet card.
I used a piece of glittery specialty paper for the background, and then took a piece of vellum and pressure embossed it with a Cuttlebug music embossing folder that I ran through my Big Shot.  I love how the embossing looks on the vellum, and you can still see the music background through it.
On each of the two edges where I adhered the vellum, I ran a width a Debora Natural Crochet Lace.  I also tied a bow with the Debora Natural Crochet Lace, Gold Metallic String, and Black Burlap String.  I used a clear button that I ran Gold Metallic String through, and I placed it on top of my bow.
Here are the FUN challenges I had in mind as I created this card, and I'm delighted to play along in each of these:

Poppy Stamps Challenge #24 - September Challenge/So Boss - I used a Cuttlebug music embossing folder for my "so boss" element, and I also used the Hip Hello die in a creative way.  I used it once for the word "hello" and parts of it upside down for the word "yo" to come up with the sentiment "Yo & Hello

As You Like It Challenge Blog - Challenge:  Favorite Song/Film and Why - I chose the song "Hello" by Lionel Richie because this song was popular when my daughter was little, and she LOVED watching the music video that goes with this song, and she would sing along to it.  SO cute, and such a sweet memory.

Scrapy Land Challenge Blog - Challenge #49 - Anything Goes - I used a Poppy Stamps die for my sentiment (yo and hello).

Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog - Challenge #163 - Anything Goes With a Sentiment - I always like to include a sentiment on my cards, and this one says "Yo & Hello"

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I always appreciate your visits and the sweet comments you leave for me.  I look forward to visiting your blog to see what you all have been creating this week.  I hope you're having fun whatever you're doing!

Blessings,
Karen

Tiny Trinket Box

If you've never seen one of my decorated paper mache boxes, you've stopped by on a good day.  These little treasures make the sweetest little gifts, and they are SUPER cost-effective.  I decorated this particular box for Really Reasonable Ribbon, and adorned it with lots of fabulous RRR products.  This box is smaller than most of the others I've posted previously.  It's just under 4" wide, about 2.5" top to bottom, and approximately 3 inches tall.  Super petite and really cute, and very inexpensive.  I painted the paper mache box cream using simple acrylic paint and added vintage sheet music to the top and sides using Mod Podge.  I then ran a nice long length of Debra Natural Crochet Lace all the way around the rim of the lid.  Once I'd done that much, it was already looking pretty darn cute.  But, oh.....no!  I couldn't stop until I had added some ribbons, trims, flowers and all kinds of Really Reasonable Ribbon goodies to the top of the trinket box to make it super special.
I made a little cluster of cuteness to embellish my trinket box.  It started with a bow tied from Black Seam Binding, one from Cream Seam Binding, another with Black Burlap String, and finally one with Ivory Burlap String.  On top of those four sweet bows, I added one Black Open End Rose, two Deep Ivory Open End Roses, two Miniature White Sweetheart Blossoms and a Green Mulberry Paper Leave.  The finishing touch is a tiny black safety pin that holds a PTI Tiny Tag that's stamped with a PTI sentiment which says, "memories".  I also inked the edges of the Tiny Tag with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke.
When our middle daughter, Lily, got married and moved away; she had left behind some fairly good quality kids' jewelry in her room, and I decided to pass it down my precious niece, Alexa.  There are couple of child's size real gold rings that I know she will love, and a gold necklace.  Of course, my daughter remembers the exact occasion when she received each ring, so they have sentimental value and she wants Alexa to appreciate her connection to them (so that she will take good care of them).  So.....I thought this sweet little trinket box would be the perfect little place for her to store her special new jewelry.  Alexa has toy rings, but has never had what she calls "real rings"; so I know these will be very special to Alexa - especially knowing that they are from her older cousin who she looks up to and loves so much.  It's fun creating things that will be cherished and that will hold special trinkets for someone I love so much.
Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many great ribbons, trims, laces, twines, mulberry flowers, and SO much more that will help YOU to take something very simple and make it into something beautiful (like I was able to do with this simple little paper mache box that cost well under one dollar).  I really mean it when I tell you that Really Reasonable Ribbon has the best embellishments to make your projects beautiful!

And don't forget about the FUN CHALLENGE taking place now on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  We would love to have you  play along.  Have a great week, and happy crafting (with ribbons, of course).

Thanks for visiting me today!
Karen

Wish Big

If you're at all like me, you LOVE Pinterest.  I mean really, what's not to love about Pinterest?  When I browse around Pinterest, I always find cards and ideas that I want to try.  But I think that most of us quickly realize that we are "pinning" things like crazy, and often forget to actually go back in to our boards and actually create these beautiful cards for ourselves.  So.....this week I've really been trying hard to do that.  I've "lifted" a lot of great ideas, and while I always put my own spin on what I create, I still make sure that I always give credit to the originally artist.  The card I'm sharing today is based on a card that my past Co-Designer, Kristi Schurr created quite some time ago.  I knew when I first saw it that I wanted to recreate it, but (like many of you) it sat in one of my Pinterest board for FAR too long.  I finally recreated it.
I used lots of Crate Paper products on this.  Most of them are from the Oh Darling line, but a some papers were Maggie Holmes (for Crate Paper).  I also tucked in a bow of Bay Leaf Seam Binding, Ivory Seam Binding, and Teal Baker's Twine.  This card would be a great idea for YOU to lift because you can use little scraps of patterned papers (and we all have plenty of those, right?) to create the little banners.  I'm going to send this card to my niece, Audranna, who will turn 8 in November.  I last saw her at my daughter's wedding shower, and she hugged me SO tight.  Of course, I cried.  This precious little girl has NO IDEA how much I miss her sweet Mama.  My sister, Audra (Audranna's Mom) has been gone almost two years now, and I miss her every day.  No one can ever replace a sister.  At least not one like Audra.

These are the challenges I've found where I can share my card.  I hope you're playing along in some fun challenges this week as well.

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Anything Goes"

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge - Simon Says "It's Stamptember"/Stamp It! - I used a sweet little stamped sentiment (wish big) on my sentiment banner using Tim Holtz Lipstick Pink Distress Ink.

Our Daily Bread Blog - Challenge #278 - Dots or Dashes - My card uses several different patterned papers...one is polka dot, and one is small dashes.  I also used "dots" so to speak by including sequins.  I didn't use an ODBD stamp on this card.

A Simple Life

As I've mentioned before, gaining inspiration from other crafters is one of the very best things about being par of the crafting community.  It's so much fun to visit Pinterest and our favorite blogs to see what great ideas I can gain inspiration from.  And in doing so, I always make sure to give credit where credit is due, and such is the case with this card.  I totally lifted this card from Melissa Phillips.  I really love this Twig Wreath stamp set, and she has so many cute cards using it.  So....I just recreated her card and put my own spin on it.
I just love this.  I used a piece of Crate Paper patterned paper at the top, and white card stock on the bottom.  I stamped everything with stamps from the PTI stamp set called Twig Wreath.  I used all Tim Holtz Distress Inks, added a piece of lace at the top, and tucked in a small white seam binding bow and a red stick pin.
I'm going to be linking my card in these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Anything Goes"

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge - Simon Says "Stamptember - Stamp It" - I enjoy stamping on my cards, and on this particular card I used a PTI stamp set.

Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog - Anything Goes With a Sentiment - I always love including a sentiment on my cards.  For this one, I used a hand-stamped sentiment.

Little Scrap Pieces - Saturday Linky Party - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I would really appreciate your comments on my card, and I look forward to seeing all your sweet creations this week as well.

Blessings to you,

Many Thanks

If you're anything like me, Autumn is a very special time of year at your house.  It's a season when the smell of pumpkin pies, cookies, and crisp fresh-fallen leaves fill the air, and you might take the time for a long drive to see the beautiful leaves that are changing colors.  These are such heart-warming experiences that we all love to participate in at this time of the year.  It's also a fun time in the crafting community because we get to see all the Autumn-inspired projects everyone has been creating and sharing on their blogs.  Well....such is the case for our new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon because this time, our theme is all about Autumn Colors, and you can share ANY type of project as long as it includes some sort of ribbon or spooled trim.

One truly wonderful thing about being part of this wonderful crafting community is all the incredible inspiration we find on one another's blogs.  There are so many artists who inspire me, and for this card I was inspired (once again) by the talented Melissa Phillips who created a similar card to this one last August using a sweet pumpkin stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I followed her design layout, and put my own spin on it by adding some lovely trims and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
This seemingly simple card actually has a lot going on.  The papers are from Crate Paper's Farmhouse collection, the wooden embroidery hoop is from Crate Paper, the inks I used are Tim Holtz Distress Inks, and I added an adorable little Sweetheart Blossom in an orangy red color from the Mixed Reds & Whites collection.  On each side of the flower, I placed a 30mm Wild Orchid Craft Green Mulberry Leaf.  Underneath the embroidery hoop, I laid a deep orange border that was cut using a Papertrey Ink border die, and I ran a length of Debra Natural Crochet Lace on top of that.
Down at the bottom right of the embroidery hoop, I added a small bow tied with Noble Peacock Seam Binding, and I set a small pearl accent sticker in the center of that bow.  I just love Seam Binding, and Really Reasonable Ribbon carries 24 gorgeous colors to help you match your next project.  It's priced reasonably, too, at thirty cents per yard ($1.50 for 5 yards).  What a bargain!
Wait!!  I'm not running off just yet.  I have another fun Autumn Colors card I made for this challenge.  This one uses the same Pumpkin Patch stamp set from Papertrey Ink, along with a bow tied with 3/8"Hunter Green Ribbon and another adorable little Sweetheart Blossom in a deep orangy red color from the Mixed Reds & Whites collection.  And again, on the side of the flower, I placed a 30mm Wild Orchid Craft Green Mulberry Leaf.
And finally......before I leave you, I want to list the challenges where I'm sharing my Autumn Colors card:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Anything Goes"

Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog - September Challenge/Fall and Autumn Holidays - I made these fun Autumn cards, and I used a die-cut on the first card (for the decorative border) and on my second card (for the sentiment banner).  I love using die-cuts.

4 Crafty Chicks - Challenge #314 - Fussy Cutting - Yes!  I did fussy cut on these cards.  I had purchased the die-cut for these cute pumpkins, and I can't find it anywhere.  So....I had to fussy cut ALL the pumpkins by hand so that I could make them 3-D layered.

NBUS Challenge #7 - My never before used schtuff is my new PTI pumpkin stamp set.  I just LOVE it!  Thanks so much, Darnell.
I love to play along in challenges whenever I possibly can.  And if YOU like to play along in challenges,  Really Reasonable Ribbon warmly invites you come by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for lots of inspiration, and to play along with us in the new Autumn Colors Challenge.  You're also welcome to play along in the fun challenges I've entered.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.

UPDATE:  There's a big LABOR DAY SALE going on NOW at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Get in on these great holiday savings.

Beautiful Autumn Colors

This is my second blog post today, and my third card using this super sweet new Pumpkin Patch stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I'e been having so much fun creating with it.  My husband thinks the pumpkins look weird, and he really dislikes that I've been stamping them in orange and red.  But....what can I say?  I think they're cute.  As the saying goes, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".  Maybe they ARE weird.  What do I know?  LOL
I used some Simple Stories patterned papers from their Take A Hike collection.  I also incorporated a vintage ivory doily (from my hoarding stash because they're literally antiques from an antique store), I used a PTI border die, a length of Debra Natural Crochet Lace, Burnt Rust Seam Binding for my bow, a pearl accent sticker, a white Sweetheart Blossom, and a 30mm Green Mulberry Leaf.
I'm SO loving this sweet new stamp set.  I hope you will let me know what new items you're falling in love with and how you're using them in your crafting and card-making.  I love being inspired by you all.  Thanks so much for visiting me.

UPDATE:  There's a big LABOR DAY SALE taking place now at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  That makes today an even better day to stock up on ribbons, trims and more.

I'm linking my card here:
NBUS Challenge #7 - Darnell's sweet challenge.  This is my 3rd and final entry, and I'm so grateful for this FUN challenge.  My NBUS for this card includes my brand new Tim Holtz Distress Inks that I just ordered to use with this brand new stamp set.  I absolutely LOVE Tim Holtz inks.
